Department of Civil Engineering, Jain (Deemed-to-be University) has always believed in imparting cutting edge knowledge after examination vacation as part of Jain (Deemed-to-be University) curriculum.
The outbound educational activities initiated by the department have given opportunities for our students to master total stations and laser surveying techniques at their VI Semester itself and be industry ready candidates.
Recently, Palakkad Advanced Survey Camp, an exciting outbound education activity through nature adventure learning process was organized for our students during 1-10 February 2016. The students learnt the nuances of Highway Project, New Tank Project, Restoration of Minor Tank Project and Water Supply and Sewerage Project. Apart from this, Civil Engineering Department is also launching Student Mentor Program (SMP) under the aegis of National Professional Bodies like Association of Consulting Civil Engineers- India ACCE (I), Indian Concrete Institute (ICI) and Indian Green Building Council Certifications from 30 April 2016 which will help students to take up internships and project works leading them to be sought after candidates for jobs in reputed MNCs.
