As part of the Myanmar Consultancy Project of the Forum of Federations, the Pro Vice Chancellor of Jain (Deemed-to-be University), Dr. Sandeep Shastri, conducted several Workshops as the Chief Consultant.
On 21-22 March, Dr. Sandeep Shastri conducted a Two Day workshop with a Group of Political Parties – Union Peace Dialogue Joint Committee (UPDJC) organized by the Forum of Federations along with the EBO at Yangon. The focus of the workshop was a dialogue on Fiscal Federalism, Resolving Regional Imbalances and Natural Resource Management. These issues have become the core of the political dialogue in the country today.
On 23 March, he addressed the Yangon School of Political Science (YSPS) on the Emerging Issues of Unity and Diversity in Contemporary Federal Systems. The YSPS represents a new initiative to provide a platform for discussion and dissemination about politics.
Dr. Shastri also conducted a review meeting with the Stakeholders in Myanmar of the Forum of Federations on the progress of the Cascading Workshops, Feedback of Participants and Long-term strategies for the success of the program.
