Field visit to “APAS VALMARK” with 3rd semester B.Sc - Interior Design students on 23rd August 2016. Situated 14 km away from J.C road Jain college campus, in the developing outskirt of Bangalore City. In a calm and healthy environment next to Hulimavu Lake, -2, G +29 floor apartment with 112 flats, ground floor having club house, surface parking etc.
It was Mr. Mukul Pal, GM Project from the Valmark Group who took the batch around the building from 2nd basement till the terrace to the helipad and explained the students everything including the services and the construction technique. The use of different color in the pipes for the different services was made clear. He also explained how the STP works and the ventilation system in the basement works. Mr. Pal took extra interest to explain the new construction technique that enables them to construct 30 storied super structures in 12 months of time. Later to that, the technique of how the water proofing is done was explained.
All the flats were open for the customization of the interiors as per the client requirements enabling the students to understand the importance of Interior design / designer.
It was indeed a great experience and exposure to the students.
