The Lecture Workshop on 'Current Scenario in Microbiology'

Jain (Deemed-to-be University)'s School of Sciences - Department of Microbiology, had organized the lecture workshop on 14 and 15 February 2018. The theme of the event was 'Current Scenario in Microbiology' which was sponsored by Indian National Academy of Sciences.

The convener and the chief guest of the lecture workshop was Dr. DJ Bagyaraj, INSA Honorary Scientist and Chairman, CNBRCD, Bangalore and the coordinator was Prof T.Padmavathi. Head Department of Microbiology - School of Sciences Jain (Deemed-to-be University), Bangalore.

Dr. DJ Bagyaraj, INSA Honorary Scientist and Chairman, CNBRCD and Dr. N Sundarajan, Vice Chancellor of Jain (Deemed-to-be University), inaugurated the two day lecture workshop and addressed the gathering. The chief guest briefed the various activities of Indian National Academy of Sciences and the importance of the lecture workshop. The lectures were executed by Dr. DJ Bagyaraj, Dr. Renu Agrawal, Dr. Narendra Jawali and Dr. Shaila on Soil Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Immunology and Food Microbiology.

Including Jain (Deemed-to-be University), more than 150 students across Karnataka participated in the lecture workshop.
