The Session on 'Cancer Awareness and HIV Prevention'

Vasudha Women Cell in association with MYshah Healthcare Bengaluru had organized a session on ‘Cancer Awareness and HIV Prevention’ on 13 August 2018 at School of Sciences, Jain (Deemed to-be University). The guest speaker of the day was Dr. Ashu, who a relentless social worker serving at the various organization. Her main interest is to create awareness about various life-threatening diseases.

The life-threatening cervical cancer is common among Indian women which can be prevented through vaccination was insisted through her talk. A small video clip was also played which inspired the student community. Her speech stressed on the importance of HPV vaccination for the current generation.

Added to the awareness program HIV prevention, the need of the hour was also proactively discussed by Dr. Praneeth Pilal and Dr. Swathi from PCMH Restore Health. Methods to prevent HIV and means of spread of the disease was told in a detailed way which didn’t fail to capture the audience.
