Jain (Deemed-to-be University) is very happy to announce that three students from 2nd year, Masters in Psychology course attended the International Conference on Applied Psychology (ICAP), held on 26th, 27th and 28th of August 2016 at Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall, Colombo, Sri Lanka.
It is with great pride that it can be announced that one of the students - Ms. Shruthi R Abirami, M.Sc. II year has won the Gold Medal for the ‘Best Student Research Paper’ as well as the Silver Medal for the ‘Most Commended Student Paper’ awards at the conference.
All three students presented their respective research work which was a part of their 1st M.Sc. Psychology curriculum as Project Work. Their topics were -
1. Shruthi R Abirami - 'Occupational Stressors among Traffic Police Constables in Bengaluru City, India: A Qualitative Exploration.'
2. Nandana Priya Kamasani - 'Death Attitude among Physicians in India: A Phenomenological Exploration.'
3. Pallavi Roy - 'Decision Making Styles, Locus of Control and Domain Specific Hope between Physically Challenged Employees and Non- Physically Challenged Employees in India.'All three students were given good feedback from the participants of the conference and their research presentations were much appreciated as evident from the awards.
