Department of Electronics - Jain (Deemed-to-be University) organized two days industrial visit to JVS Electronics, Bidadi and Kaynes Technology, Mysore, for B.Sc. IV and VI semester students from Electronics and Computer Science stream on 3 and 4 March 2017, as a part of the curriculum.
JVS Electronics, a Relay Manufacturing unit conducted a workshop for the students and the staff on 3 March 2017. The workshop included an overview of the embedded systems, Relays and their importance in the high voltage and current control systems. The students and the staff visited the different departments like components, Relay design, Relay assembly and Testing department, etc.
On the visit to the Kaynes Technology, Mysore – a PCB design and manufacturing unit on 3 March 2017, the student and staff received valuable insights into different technologies used in the PCB Design and manufacturing. The students and the staff had an opportunity to visit the different departments of Kaynes Technology such as PCB selection, PCB design, PCB assembly, Soldering, and PCB Testing department etc.
The visit was very fruitful as 23 students were accompanied by staff members namely, Mr. Manjunatha P.S, HOD of Electronics, Mr. Malatesh Akkur, Associate. Professor in Electronics, Dr. Arathi Sudarshan, HOD of Mathematics, Mr. Somakeshava, Lab Assistant.
The industrial visit was a very good exposure for the students in terms of enhancing their knowledge and acquiring required skills for the industry entry.
