Jain (Deemed-to-be University) Basket Ball men team emerge as Champions at Autumn Muse - 2016

Autumn Muse - 2016, an inter-collegiate sports fest organized by St.John's Medical College, Bangalore. In the final, Jain (Deemed-to-be University) 68 (Dharini 33, Nikhil 14) Beat Christ University 47 (Robin 15, Nikhil 14).

Jain (Deemed-to-be University) triumphs in the South Zone inter-University cricket tournament

Jain (Deemed-to-be University) boys defeated SRM University in the Final of the South Zone inter-University Cricket Championship organized by Saveetha University, Chennai. Batting first, Jain (Deemed-to-be University) scored 226 runs in 45 overs. Desmand Antony anchored the innings and was the top scorer with 72 runs. Chasing the target, SRM University was shot out for 86 runs in 29 overs by the Jain (Deemed-to-be University) bowlers. Adithya Somanna and Rajath Hegde picked up two wickets each for the victors.

Jain (Deemed-to-be University) clinches Basketball, Volleyball and Football titles at the St. John's Medical College AUTUMN MUSE 2015 tournament held between 27 to 30 August 2015

  • Jain (Deemed-to-be University) volleyball men team edge out Adhyaman Engineering College by 2-1 sets (23-25, 25-13, 25-16) and grabbed volleyball championship title
  • Jain (Deemed-to-be University) basketball men team beat New Horizon College by two goals (48-46) and women team beat SJCC by 20 goals (28-8) to clinch basketball championship titles
  • Jain (Deemed-to-be University) football men team beat St Joseph's Arts and Science in crucial penalty 5-4 and won football championship title

Jain (Deemed-to-be University) Basketball Men & Women team clinches NBA JAM 2014!

Jain (Deemed-to-be University) Basketball Men & Women team won the NBA JAM 2014, India's Biggest and Favourite 3-on-3 Basketball and Youth Festival! NBA JAM powered by Jabong is a platform to showcase basketball skills and compete with talent across 16 cities in 3 on 3 tournament.

This tournament witnessed more than 100 teams in men section and 25 teams in the women section held at CMRIT College White field , Bangalore.

In the girls finals Jain (Deemed-to-be University) beat St. Joseph's Commerce College 9-2 and in boys finals Jain (Deemed-to-be University) Bangalore beat M.S.Ramiah Engineering College (M.S.R.I.T) 21-19.

All - India Inter- University Aquatic Champions!

Jain (Deemed-to-be University) emerged overall champions in the All-India Inter-University Aquatic Championship 2014.

Jain (Deemed-to-be University) finished with a tally of 154.5 points, finishing ahead of Delhi University, who had a tally of 131 points, and VTU, Belgaum (97). Jain (Deemed-to-be University) women swimmers regained the women's title which we last won in 2012, tallying 106 points.

The University was powered along by V.K.R. Meenakshi, who recorded a huge haul of eight gold and two silver medals in the women’s section. The B. Com. student won two more gold on the final day to finish on a high and she was the easy choice for best female swimmer award.

Jain (Deemed-to-be University) emerges champion!

Simonelle (24 pts) and Roshini (22 pts) did the bulk of the scoring as Jain (Deemed-to-be University) defeated MOP Vaishnav College (Chennai) 68-57 to emerge champion in the JASA South India-level inter-collegiate basketball tournament for women.

Jain (Deemed-to-be University) clinched the Jayalakshmi Memorial Ever Rolling Trophy and a cash award of Rs. 15,000. Also, two of our players Sandhya Manjunath and Roshini won the ‘Most Valuable Player and ‘Best Post Player’ awards respectively.

Inaugural NDTV Toyota University Cricket Champions!

NDTV and the Ministry of HRD joined hands to encourage cricket at the university level. To take this forward, they launched Toyota University Cricket Championship (TUCC) in February 2013. Designed in a Twenty20 format, TUCC reached more than 200 Universities and 20 lakh students across India. This initiative was backed by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to nurture and promote budding cricketers.

An extension of the all-India inter-university Rohinton Baria Tournament, TUCC featured the top 8 university teams for the T20 league. The teams for the 2013 Championship were selected from the four regional zones where Jain (Deemed-to-be University) was picked from the South Zone along with University of Madras as Southern Champs.  

Throughout the tournament with their consistent performance Jain (Deemed-to-be University) remained unbeaten. In the finals, Southern Champs beat Kent RO Northern Stars Jamia Millia Islamia by just 2 runs in a dramatic low scoring match.

Jain (Deemed-to-be University) lift Rohinton Baria trophy 2013

The Rohinton Baria university tournament is the oldest and high profile elite tournament cricket tournament in India. Unlike the disconnected relationship between the Ranji Trophy and the IPL, Rohinton Baria's fortunes are closely intertwined with that of the UCC. Eight universities - the top two from each zone - compete for the Rohinton Baria Trophy.

In the year 2013, Jain (Deemed-to-be University) registered a convincing 82-run win over title favourites Bombay University in the two-day final at Manipal University ground to clinch the prestigious trophy.
