Eligibility

The minimum qualification required to apply is a pass in the 10+2 examination in Science or Commerce from PUC / ISC / CBSE or an equivalent board. A course recognised as equivalent thereto by the University.

Accounting plays a key role in communicating information to interested parties, enabling them to assess the company's financial position. The Bachelor of Commerce Honours degree programme in Accounting, Audit and Taxation aims at producing accounting professionals who can provide the necessary information to make informed business decisions. The programme has been focused on the systematic study of finance, accounting, auditing and taxation. Geared towards Honours qualification, specifically in B.Com honours in Accounting and Finance, equipping the students with comprehensive knowledge and specialised skills in these domains.

KCAP - KPMG Certified Accounting Programme

In 147 countries, KPMG is an international cooperative of the Big Four accounting firms offering financial audit, tax and advisory services. A 3-year classroom-based course for B. Com (Honors) students at JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), provided by KPMG India LLP. The programme shall ensure that the industry is ready by the end of the 3rd year, in three volumes:

  • Volume-1: Basics of accounting (Semesters 1 and 2)
  • Volume-2: Accounting Standards (Semesters 3 and 4)
  • Volume-3: Preparation of financial statements (Semesters 5 and 6)

Certificates are issued to the students as below:

Completion Certificate: Awarded to students clearing all yearly assessments.

Participation Certificate: Awarded to students attending KCAP sessions but not clearing more than two exams.
