Eligibility

The minimum qualification required to apply is a pass in Higher Secondary (10+2) in any stream (Science, Arts, Commerce, Humanities, etc.) from any recognized board of education such as CBSE, IB, ICSE, CISCE, NIOS, AISSCE, ISC or their equivalent. Candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination for academic year 2019-20 are also encouraged to apply.

B.Sc (Honors) in Product Design is affiliated to Jain (Deemed-to-be University) that offers the students an opportunity to make a real impression in the world. The process involves developing the design from the initial concept stage to a commercially feasible solution worthy of mass manufacturing. The Program teaches students to become multidisciplinary designers so that they can use their creativity, critical reasoning and design process to generate innovative ideas and products to bring value to companies and people. The Program offers training from Professional Educators & Industry Experts so students can develop their creative process, be well versed with user experience, and apply diverse 2-D and 3-D techniques to design well-crafted and implemented items, products, and systems that favor the societal necessities. The Program involves an improvised study of products, systems, and consumers. The training is through a mix of classroom learning along with interactive seminars and internships. Students develop a strong understanding of varied technologies needed for the transformation of products into prototypes and then into manufacturing. The Program teaches students how to critically assess the products and their evolution with an eye to semiotics, aesthetics and user psychology. In our progressing modern world, students require improvised sustainable practices and customer-centric original outputs.
