The purpose of an honours program in accounting, audit and taxation is to create professionals who help stakeholders make better business decisions by providing them with financial information. B.com (h) in finance, accounting, audit and taxation program in which, apart from a general course of study in commerce, the primary focus is on the systematic study of the concepts in fields of finance, accounting, audit and taxation. The program prepares students for an honours qualification and provides a solid base in the fields of finance, accounts, audit and taxation thus making it easier to acquire a leadership / managerial role in the financial sector. The emphasis of the program is to nurture students as real commerce professionals and impart specialized skill sets in the areas of finance, accounting and taxation. The curriculum implements cutting-edge concepts with real-world applications. This program envisages effective teaching in commerce using innovative teaching and learning methods such as classroom discussions, internships and case studies.
The minimum qualification required to apply is a pass in the 10+2 examination in Science or Commerce from PUC / ISC / CBSE or equivalent board. A course recognized as equivalent thereto by the University.
