Tarun's research interests focus on electrochemical energy storage, with a particular emphasis on sodium-ion batteries, advanced alloy anode materials, and electrode designed using sustainable sources. He is interested in developing high-performance Na-ion batteries with better coulombic efficiency, excellent cycling stability with sustainable design that contribute to next-generation energy storage technologies
Tarun P joined Jain University in June 2026 as a Project Assistant at Centre for Research in Functional Materials. He has completed his M.Sc in Analytical Chemistry and B.Sc at St. Joseph’s University, Bengaluru, India.
Outside of academics, Tarun is an MMA practitioner, the first-ever University Kabaddi Champion, and enjoys swimming. He likes staying active, disciplined, and spending time with friends.
