Eligibility

Candidates must have either cleared the 10+2 / NIOS board exams with at least 50% marks in Arts, Science, Commerce, or a related field, with English as a compulsory subject or finished a 3-year Diploma with similar requirements. Moreover, they must have a UCEED rank from IDC at IIT-Bombay or a passing score on the JET EXAM from JAIN (Deemed-to-be University).

Candidates admitted into the B.Des. programmes undergo a common Foundation Year of two semesters. Students undergo a rigorous and significantly hands-on year of immersion in developing their design sensitivities. At the JAIN School of Design Media and Creative Arts, we understand that should the student's self-discovery of aptitude within the foundation year be different from the choice made during the admission process, they need to be allowed to pursue their calling. Based on mutual availability of seats, requests for such change and relative merit, students could pursue a design stream they deem best.
