Eligibility

Candidates must have completed their 10+2 education in Science or Commerce with Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Information Practice as one of the core subjects from a recognized board such as PUC, ISC, CBSE, or any equivalent board. The University recognizes courses that are equivalent to the specified criteria.

Overview

The JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) Kochi’s Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) with Specializations (Cyber Security) programme aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills essential for safeguarding networks, data, and computer systems against online threats. The curriculum emphasizes the teaching of Python and C++, prominent programming languages in cybersecurity, and includes training in programming languages for automating security protocols. At the BCA Cyber Security College in Kochi, students also gain proficiency in utilizing popular cybersecurity tools and technologies such as intrusion detection systems, firewalls, penetration testing tools, and security information and event management (SIEM) solutions. The programme particularly focuses on penetration testing and ethical hacking methods, enabling students to identify and comprehend vulnerabilities in computer networks and systems.

The program offers two main tracks:
(i) a 3-year undergraduate degree and
(ii) a 4-year undergraduate degree with Honours, emphasizing research.
