Eligibility

The qualification required to apply for the programme is a minimum of 50% marks in the respective bachelor’s degree or any Life Science Course in UG. Students who are pursuing a final year bachelor’s programme are also eligible to apply.

Overview

Forensic Science plays a significant role in the modern judicial system. JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) Kochi offers a Master of Science in Forensic Science degree. The 2-year postgraduate course deals with the application of scientific knowledge in the investigation of crime and the study of human anatomy at the M.Sc. Forensic Science College in Kochi. In this course, students will learn all aspects of forensic science such as how clues can be collected from crime scenes and physical evidence such as hair, blood, and fingerprints that are taken to the laboratories to present them as evidence in court. It will also enable students to develop technical skills, scientific aptitude, and keen observational skills.
