I am primarily a student of Anthropology, and my research interests revolve around primatology. I am interested in studying the social behaviour, feeding ecology, and communication systems of nonhuman primates. Currently, I am pursuing a Ph.D. in Zoology at JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) under the guidance of Dr. Chetan Nag K.S. My current research focuses on the behavioural ecology of Nilgiri langurs (Semnopithecus johnii) in the Anamalai Tiger Reserve located in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.

Research Interests: Evolutionary Anthropology, Social Anthropology, Cognitive Psychology, and Primate Behavioural Ecology

I am a bat enthusiast who focuses on the spatiotemporal habitat usage and diet preferences of the critically endangered bat, Hipposideros hypophyllus. Currently, I am pursuing my Ph.D. under the guidance of Dr. Chetan Nag K S. Prior to this, I was associated with the Bat Conservation India Trust (BCIT) and played an active role in executing various projects at BCIT. In addition to my research and work in conservation, I also enjoy painting Indian wildlife.

Research Interest: Foraging Ecology, Chiropterology, Arachnology

Education: Ph.D. (Zoology, January 2021 Batch) - JAIN (Deemed to be University)

I am currently pursuing my Ph.D. in Zoology at JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) under the guidance of Dr. Chetan Nag K.S. My research focuses on understanding how animals adapt to urban environments in an urban heat island scenario. Specifically, I am investigating the ecological and phenotypical changes of geckos for my Ph.D. study. Through this research, I aim to gain insights into how natural selection might be shaping the trajectory of urban evolution for these animals.

Research Interest: Urban evolutionary ecology, Neuroscience, and cognitive biology

Education: Ph.D. (Zoology, August 2022 Batch) - JAIN (Deemed to be University)

As a Zoology graduate with a keen interest in wildlife research, I am currently exploring possibilities for my Ph.D. under the guidance of Dr. Chetan Nag K.S. at JAIN (Deemed-to-be University). Specifically, I am interested in urban ecology-related topics and how human interference might impact the diversity and distribution of animal species in urban conditions. Through my research, I hope to contribute to our understanding of how urbanisation affects wildlife and how we can better manage urban areas to promote coexistence between humans and animals.

Research Interest: Wildlife Biology, Urban Ecology, Climate Change and Conservation

Education: Ph.D. (Zoology, January 2023 Batch) - JAIN (Deemed to be University)
