The School of Design, Media, and Creative Arts (SDMCA) at JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) has placed holistic education practises as the foundation for all its programmes. M. Des User Experience Design Course Highlights

Eligibility

Candidates must have passed a 4-year Degree Program with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in Mechanical Engineering, Computer science Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Fine Arts, Applied Arts, MBBS or any other relevant stream and should have studied English as a mandatory course.
Candidates must have secured a rank in CEED conducted by IDC of IIT- Bombay or should have a valid score in JET EXAM conducted by JAIN (Deemed-to-be University).

Selection Procedure

Applicant has to appear and clear the JET Exam,that includes

Portfolio Review
Personal Interview

Note : Candidates have to secure valid ranks in CEED (for M. Des program), can directly attend the Portfolio review and Personal interview conduct by The School of Design, Media and Creative Arts. If not, they have to undertake the JET Exam conduct by The School of Design, Media and Creative Arts followed with Portfolio review and Personal interview to get qualify for the Design program.

Career Path

Professional designers with User experience design Masters degrees are preferred by most IT companies and Startups who practice these business models. They would be offered opportunities mainly in designing the business strategy of new products and processes, business process redesign, researching how to find opportunities for new markets/products, exploring the needs of the emerging and niche market customers etc. and strategising the findings for execution/realisation.

A Designer with a Masters in User experience design in India with this specialisation can reach up to the level of General Manager (Design), Chief Designer or even Senior Vice President (Business Design or Design Strategy).
