Nanotechnology is an emerging area that engages almost every technical discipline - from chemistry to computer science - in the study and application of extremely tiny materials. It is one among the top ranked subject related to academic and research. Nanotechnology is the branch of Technology that deals with the study of extremely small things and can be used across all fields of science such as chemistry, biology, physics, materials science, and engineering. It is a rapidly expanding area of research with huge potential to revolutionize our lives and to provide technological solutions to our problems in agriculture, energy, the environment and medicine. In India, Bengaluru and Chennai are the manufacturing hubs for IT and Medicine. In the B.Tech Nano Technology coursework, one gets to understand all that is involved to deal with complex tasks in the field of Nano Technology.

  • One will learn about the basic science behind the properties of materials at the nanometer scale, and the principles behind advanced experimental and computational techniques for studying Nano materials

Pass in PUC / 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry / Computer Science / Electronics as one of the subjects and obtained at least 60% marks (55% in case of SC/ST category) in the above subjects taken together.

B.Tech. Lateral Entry

The candidate should have a diploma or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university or institution (approved by DTE) with 45% marks (40% in case of SC / ST) in the final year examination. They are also required to clear the prescribed subjects as specified by Jain (Deemed-to-be University).
