Eligibility

The minimum qualification required to apply is a pass in Higher Secondary (10+2) in any stream (Science, Arts, Commerce, Humanities, etc.) from any recognized board of education such as CBSE, IB, ICSE, CISCE, NIOS, AISSCE, ISC or their equivalent. Candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination for academic year 2019-20 are also encouraged to apply.

Overview

The BA (Honors) Film Making & Production Design program with defined sub-fields explore film art and design across a wide spectrum of media, Film Direction, Cinematography, Editing, Sound Design and Production Design of this degree will create career opportunities in a wide range of art and design fields, interactive media, film, television, graphic design, video games design, digital media, and web series production, education and community films. Students will develop cross-media digital content underpinned by the study of historical and visual arts, and contemporary film production and media practice. The course has been designed to enhance employability skills within the spectrum of film arts and media activities. Professional practice is embedded into all learning modules.

The rapid advancement of technology has made film, animation, web series etc, available to the masses and this industry is one of the fastest growing industries.

The current film industry is influenced by large multinational studios as well as TV broadcast companies and satellite TV channel companies. They are engaged in activities from content creation, pre-production to distribution, as well as new sources of revenue as intellectual property, licensing & merchandising. Thus this course will open a wide array of career opportunities for the students.
