JAIN provides comprehensive support services to ensure every student has access to the resources and assistance they need for academic success and personal development.
At the start of each semester, faculty communicate the evaluation method to students, with key dates for mid-term and end-semester exams, assessment details, and guidelines outlined in the University Handbook and academic calendar distributed to all.The evaluation process is continuous to support educational goals and track academic progress, ensuring transparency through student-signed Continuous Assessment (CA) statements and displayed Internal Assessment (IA) marks on notice boards for departmental clarification. Exam schedules, notices, and timetables are posted on the University website and constituent unit notice boards, while an orientation program briefs MPhil and PhD students on University guidelines.
JAIN adopts the Choice-Based Credit System (CBCS), a UGC initiative to enhance quality in higher education, enabling students to select from core, elective, minor, or soft skill courses for greater learning flexibility. The grade-based credit assessment aligns education with global standards, broadening students' academic experiences and quality.Access the results of University examinations at results.jainuniversity.ac.in
The Office of the Student Fee Services is an important department of the University as it deals with the collection of fees, providing receipts, and managing the records of both national and international students. The office constantly looks for ways to provide hassle-free, quick, and efficient service to the students in terms of their fee submission. Keeping this in mind, the team has moved to online student fee payment services, which have led to accurate, easy, and transparent fee transaction facilities.
Established in 2009, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) is a vital component of the institutional framework, dedicated to enhancing and sustaining educational quality. As a key administrative body, IQAC drives the planning, initiation, and oversight of activities aimed at holistically improving the quality of education.
IQAC regularly conducts workshops on quality initiatives. Recently, it conducted a two-day awareness workshop on the revised accreditation framework in collaboration with the UGC and the NAAC.
The Women's Cell at JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) is a vital unit, led by senior faculty and featuring two student representatives from each school/centre, dedicated to empowering women across all domains. The Cell fosters awareness and engagement among faculty and students on issues like womenβs rights, gender equality, sensitivity, and empowerment through targeted activities.
The Student Grievance Redressal Cell at JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) enhances the teacher-student bond, boosting student confidence by addressing needs, classroom concerns, and issues promptly while promoting human values and a positive social environment. Each unit features a committee reporting to the central cell, resolving most grievances informally to foster a healthy, friendly relationship among students, faculty, and administration.
The Equal Opportunity Cell (EOC) is committed to ensuring equitable treatment and opportunities for all students, including those with disabilities, from minority groups, or facing socio-economic and cultural barriers. The Cell unequivocally condemns all forms of unjustifiable behaviour, discrimination, and prejudice. Specifically, the EOC addresses concerns related to students from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Persons with Disabilities (PWD).
In alignment with its mission, the EOC undertakes the following key initiatives:
Programmes focusing on disability and human rights are organised to enhance understanding of the experiences of both students and staff with disabilities. These programs aim to highlight issues affecting the treatment of individuals with disabilities at both local and global levels.
JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) actively encourages students with disabilities to enrol in its academic programmes. They receive priority access to facilities such as lifts, canteens, cafeterias, and libraries. Additionally, these students are permitted to record lectures in classrooms to support their learning.
To promote digital literacy, the university offers information and computer-technology enablement programs, primarily for visually-impaired students. These initiatives focus on developing fundamental communication and information skills through computer usage. Visually-impaired students are specifically provided with "George" software to facilitate access to and download of educational materials.
