Research Assistant - Fire and Combustion Research Centre (FCRC)

Job description

As a Research Assistant at the Fire and Combustion Research Centre (FCRC), JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), you will play a key role in supporting scientific and engineering research projects. Working closely with my supervisors, you will conduct experiments, collect and analyse data, prepare technical documentation, and assist in product development as well as publication-related tasks. Your role demands a hands-on approach, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage both technical and administrative aspects of research activities.

What you'll be doing

• Conduct chemical sample analysis with precision and accuracy
• Operate and maintain advanced laboratory equipment
• Document findings and prepare analytical reports
• Support ongoing research and development activities

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering (BE – Mechanical / EEE)
• Experience in handling electrical equipment and/or proficiency in AutoCAD drafting preferred
• Excellent communication and a commitment to student success and diversity

FCRC provides research and consultancy services to the scientific and Industrial community.
